TL;DR
We do not collect, store, or transmit your files. We do not have servers that process your PDFs. We do not require accounts. Everything runs in your browser and stays on your device.
Data collection
PDF8 does not collect any personal information. We do not use cookies for tracking, we do not have user accounts, and we do not store any data about you or your documents. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, page requested) for operational purposes, but no file content is ever transmitted to any server.
File processing
All PDF processing is performed locally in your browser using WebAssembly. When you select a file, it is read directly from your device into browser memory, processed by JavaScript code, and the result is made available for download. No file data is sent to any server at any stage. Once you close the browser tab, all data is automatically cleared from memory.
Third-party services
PDF8 uses Vercel Analytics for anonymized page view statistics. This service does not track individual users or access file content. No other third-party services have access to your data.
